Fourth Annual Big Green Conference to take place November 10, 2011 at Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Minneapolis Airport-Mall of America in Bloomington, MN
The conference aims to develop a holistic view of corporate sustainability, in which environmental, cultural and economic issues are inseparably interlinked. Huebsch and the P.E. Phillips Career Development Center partner up in Hanger Recycling Program
| Known for their sustainable and green business practices, Huebsch partnered with the P.E. Phillips Career Development Center (CDC) in 2009 in a recycling project for wire hangers. Over the past two years the business partners have recycled over 2.5 million hangers. Not only has this partnership saved landfill space and lowered carbon dioxide emissions, it has also created jobs in the local Eau Claire area. |

The project averages over 120,000 hangers recycled monthly and has steadily continued to increase. Each hanger that arrives at the Career Development Center is carefully inspected so it can be recycled for reuse at Huebsch Services. Read more

Sentator Kohl visited Huebsch Services on Thursday, August 11th to see how Huebsch is benefiting from the Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program
U.S. Senator Kohl toured Huebsch to see firsthand how the Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program (MEP) has been successful in providing technical and business assistance to increase productivity, cut production costs, and retain and create jobs. The MEP program which Kohl supports ensures that Wisconsin employers, such as Huebsch, can compete in the global market. The two MEP centers in Wisconsin help small- and medium-sized manufactures adapt to newer technology, streamline their manufacturing processes, identify cost inefficiencies, and train employees on new technologies.

Huebsch Services Route Representative Derek Olson part of a team of Osseo rural firefighters helping Alabama Tornado victims with cleanup.
Derek Olson, a route sales representative for Huebsch Services and a captain for the Osseo Rural Fire Department, joined a team of 18 firefighters from the Osseo area who helped with cleanup and relief efforts for the citizens of Rainesville, AL. They spent May 3rd - May 6th 2011 helping victims of a devasting tornado that hit this town, with tarping up buildings, cleaning up debris and other help as needed. Read more< P>
The Osseo Fire Department also asked the community for donations and they were able to send down three full semi trailer loads with donations to Rainesville, AL.

Named “Day of Caring Organization of the Year” by United Way
United Way recently named us “Day of Caring Organization of the Year.” The Day of Caring Award is presented to a company, which acknowledges the importance of community service through employee participation in Day of Caring as a team building activity and a part of their annual campaign.
St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon and Silent Auction to Support United Way
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a potluck luncheon. Our wellness committee handed out prizes and awards to our "3-H Health Hunters." We had a silent auction with prizes donated from Nestle, Casscade Tissue, Mega Foods, Gordy's, Michelle Peterlik (a Huebsch employee)/Avon, and Huebsch. The silent auction raised over $300, which will be donated to United Way. Thank you to all the sponsors!
